Invoice or bill? Same document.
A bill and an invoice both ask to be paid: a numbered, dated document that says who supplied what, how much is owed, and by when. Businesses and freelancers tend to say “invoice”; shops and households in Pakistan, India and the US often say “bill”. Use this generator for either.
The document changes once the money arrives. Then the customer needs a receipt — proof of payment, marked PAID. And if the work has not been agreed yet, send an estimate first.
Whatever you call it, a bill gets paid faster when it carries a unique number, a due date, clear line items and the exact account to pay into. The fields are all on the form above; this guide explains each one.
This page, an account, or a template?
For a one-off invoice, this page is enough. Once you invoice the same clients every month, the free account saves the retyping and follows up for you. A Word or Sheets template works too — you just do the maths and the chasing yourself.

Other no-sign-up generators exist — Invoice-Generator.com, for example, says on its own page that it is free with no signup (checked 11 October 2026). Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. It creates and downloads a PDF invoice with no sign-up, no watermark, and no card, as many times as you like. It runs in your browser and nothing you type is uploaded. If you later want saved clients, a shareable link and payment tracking, a free Inbill account includes 10 invoices a month.
Do I need an account to download the PDF?
No. Fill in the form and click Download PDF. An account is only needed for the full app: saved clients and products, a link your client can open, WhatsApp sending, reminders, payment tracking, and the voice AI assistant.
Does the invoice have a watermark or ad on it?
No. The PDF shows your business, your client, your line items and your totals — nothing else. The Minimalist, Modern and Corporate templates here are the same ones used in the app.
Is a bill the same as an invoice?
For most purposes, yes: both are a dated request for payment that lists what was supplied and what is owed. "Invoice" is the usual word between businesses and for freelance work; "bill" is the everyday word in Pakistan, India and the US. After you are paid, issue a receipt instead.
Which currencies can I use?
All 47 currencies the Inbill app supports, including USD, EUR, GBP, AED, SAR, PKR and INR. The generator picks a starting currency from your device's region; change it in one click. Amounts are formatted for that currency on the PDF.
Is my data stored anywhere?
Only on your device. Your draft is kept in this browser so a refresh does not lose it, and the PDF is made on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose "Save & get a shareable link", which copies the draft into a free account.
Can my client pay from the invoice?
The PDF shows whatever payment details you type — bank, Wise, Payoneer, JazzCash or anything else. For a link your client can open on WhatsApp, with "Pay with Wise" or "Pay with Payoneer" buttons and an "I've paid" button, save the invoice to a free account. Inbill never processes the payment itself.
